Tom Gets Promoted!

Today Tom had a promotion ceremony at work and he was promoted from Second Lieutenant to First Lieutenant! Everyone in his unit came out for formation and a Lt. Colonel and Major from the Brigade level came to watch too. His Commander had some really nice things to say about Tom and his military career thus far - he recapped all of Tom's accomplishments, including earning his Expert Field Medical Badge and pointed out that he was the first Junior Officer to earn the badge since 2007, which is very impressive. They read his new Orders out loud and then I got to put his new rank on his uniform! Then, everyone shook Tom's hand and congratulated him. We are all very proud of him :)
